MuttGut began as a journey of resilience. Founded by Michelle Griffin in 2017, the company grew from a personal health crisis into a mission to revolutionize pet wellness through the science of the gut microbiome.

From Personal Struggle to Scientific Discovery

In 2009, Michelle was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, a rare autoimmune disorder. Her path to recovery involved navigating complex medical treatments and battling chronic gut infections. Through this process, she identified a critical link between gut health and immune response.

This realization led her to the work of Dr. Gitte Jensen, PhD, a leading researcher in the field. Together, they collaborated to develop a sophisticated approach to immune management.

The Innovation: BiomePet™

The result of this collaboration was the development of a pioneering 3-in-1 formula that integrates:

  • Probiotics: To balance the microbiome.
